WebbPrior to starting clozapine, all patients must be registered with the Clozaril® Patient Monitoring Service (CPMS) and all patients must have a normal pre-treatment white blood cell (WBC) count and absolute neutrophil count (ANC) (WBC ≥3.5 x 109/L, neutrophil count ≥2.0 x 109/L) performed within 10 days prior to initiating Clozaril® treatment. WebbPrior to initiating treatment with clozapine a baseline ANC must be at least 1500/μL for the general population; and must be at least 1000/μL for patients with documented Benign Ethnic Neutropenia (BEN). During treatment, patients must have regular ANC monitoring.
